Amazing Discoveries™, an international Christian media ministry, is seeking the following positions:
MARKETING COORDINATOR
A team player with experience in marketing strategy and communications. This position would be responsible for the coordination and management of the marketing program and brand maintenance of Amazing Discoveries™, including events, sales, publications, and Internet. Working with the Executive Director and the Director of Communications, the coordinator will identify, plan, and implement strategic objectives and provide outstanding written products for promotion in print and on air.

A degree in marketing or related field is preferred. Several years of experience in a marketing role within a professional and Christian environment is desired. Experience related to media is a plus. The successful candidate should have a proven track record in developing and administering a successful marketing program. In addition she/he must be a self-starter, highly organized, and able to work well with others. A passion for our products and ministry, as well as Christ-centered attitude a must.
WEB ASSISTANT starting immediately to assist our web development
team. This position will be responsible for supporting the needs of
the web developer and communications manager and involves attention to
detail, a high standard of quality, and familiarity with web user
needs. An eye for design would be a good asset, as would the ability to
write well, a hard-working attitude willing to go the extra mile to see
the job to completion, and patience with minor details. Ability to work
well with others and good communication skills a must.
Other important skills needed:
JUNIOR WEB DEVELOPER starting immediately to assist our web development team. This position will be responsible for supporting the needs of the web developer and communications manager and involves attention to detail, a high standard of quality, and familiarity with web user needs. Ability to work well with others and good communication skills a must.
Suggested qualifications:
SALES RECEPTIONIST starting immediately to assist our sales department. This position will be responsible for answering the phones, assisting callers with sales questions, communicating about Amazing Discoveries™ and encouraging callers to become acquainted with our resources, and/ or purchase. The position will also include data entry, keeping accurate records, filing, invoicing & billing, processing payments, some shipping, and in general keeping the sales department running smoothly. Good communication skills, friendly telephone manners, accuracy and attention to detail a must.
Prospective candidates should have the following qualifications:
SECRETARIAL POSITION starting immediately to assist the Executive Director and the Communications Manager. This position involves providing secretarial assistance to both the Executive Director and the Communications Manager as needed. The position will involve a variety of activities to keep you busy including: typing, letter drafting, travel arrangements, filing, email answering, research, event coordination, and more. The position will also include data entry, keeping accurate records, filing, organizing and coordinating supplies, and in general assisting wherever needed. Some travel across the border may also be required. Good communication skills, friendly telephone manners, accuracy and attention to detail a must, as will a valid BC Driver's license and a good driving record.
