What is the New Age movement and how does it relate to our lives?
The term New Age comes from astrology. The zodiac, which originated in ancient Babylon, is a wheel of twelve signs mirroring the constellations found on the apparent path of the sun in the sky. Each sign represents both a period of the year and an age in history. It would take about 25,000 years for our solar system to move through these star signs.
The New Age movement teaches that we are moving into an age of enlightenment. The current Age of Pisces, which has an emphasis on formal religion, is to be replaced by the Age of Aquarius, or the Age of Enlightenment.
Occultist and author David Anrias says this in his book Through the Eyes of Masters:
When a transition takes place from one Age to another, and hence from one sign to another, certain Adepts who for centuries may have been preparing for their office by meditation and study, take over the work of inspiring the new cycle. For nearly two thousand years the earth has been under the watery sign Pisces ruled by Neptune, the main features of which have been the establishing of Christianity and the conquest of the ocean. Now the new cycle has begun, Aquarius, an airy sign, is influencing men’s minds along scientific lines in every direction, especially towards the conquest of the air.i
In the Age of Enlightenment, humankind is to experience a new birth and be initiated into a higher state of consciousness reflecting the godhood within humanity. Essentially, the doctrines of the New Age imply that people are divine, that the spiritual element of humans is immortal and has existed with God since time began, and that the material element of each person has evolved over several lives.

New Age doctrine is anything but new. In fact, Satan has been tricking humanity with the same basic lies since history began.
Satan has been using the lies of human divinity and immortality for thousands of years, as the Bible and history books can attest.
The New Age movement is said to be guided by Ascended Masters—spiritual beings who speak wisdom through human channels to the world. One such Master is Maitreya.
New Age spiritism can be found in the doctrines of many popular religions.
The symbols and rituals of secret societies and New Age groups are essentially the same.
A combination of Buddhist and Hindu mysticism, theosophy has been spread through women such as Blavatsky and Bailey, both of whom were directly influenced by New Age masters.
New Age philosophy can be found not only in religious and mystical activities, but also in the media.
The New Age teaching that humans are gods is infiltrating through the spread of popular psychology.
