The entertainment world is fast becoming overrun with the spread of New Age doctrines.
JZ Knight
In New Age circles, Masters speak through numerous channels (a modern name for a spiritualistic medium). For example, a Master named Ramtha speaks through channel JZ Knight.
Judy Zebra Knight (born Judith Darlene Hampton in 1946) is a woman who claims to be used by an enlightened being named Ramtha to speak to humanity. In her book Ramtha: The White Book, she explains the story of her and Ramtha:
My name is JZ Knight and I am the rightful owner of this body...So we will start out by saying that Ramtha and I are two different people, beings. We have a common reality point and that is usually my body. I am a lot different than he is. Though we sort of look the same, we really don't look the same...
Ramtha has been a part of my life ever since I was born,
but I didn't know who he was and I didn't know what he was,
only that there was a wonderful force that walked with me,
and when I was in trouble—and had a lot of pain in my life
growing up—that I always had extraordinary experiences with
this being who would talk to me. And I could hear him as
clearly as I can hear you if we were to have a conversation.i
It wasn't until 1977 that he appeared to me in my kitchen on a Sunday afternoon...at the other end of
my kitchen this wonderful apparition appeared that was seven
feet tall and glittery and beautiful and stark. You just don't expect
at 2:30 in the afternoon that this is going to appear in your kitchen.
No one is ever prepared for that.
And so Ramtha at that time
really made his appearance known to me.
The first thing I said to him—and I don't know where this
comes from—was that "You are so beautiful. Who are you?"
And he has a smile like the sun. He is extraordinarily
handsome. And he said, "My name is Ramtha the Enlightened
One, and I have come to help you over the ditch."ii
Role Models?
Knight has had famous clients such as Linda Evans, Shirley MacLaine, "Burt Reynolds, Clint Eastwood, Richard Chamberlain, the late Joan Hackett, Shelley Fabares, and Mike Farrell of the television series M*A*S*H."iv
Shirley Maclaine is closely associated with Indian yoga expert Bikram, who also has in his clientele stars such as Quincy Jones.v Actor Richard Gere has commitments to the Dalai Lama, and Patrick Duffy and Tina Turner are committed Buddhists who embrace New Age ideologies.vi,vii, viii
It is through these role models that the minds of the 20th century generation have been attuned to New Age concepts. The ideas of reincarnation, life after death, and the return of spirits to this earth are common in the entertainment world. Read about the New Age sorcery in Hollywood
Consider deceased
stars such as Elvis Presley, who are glorified and worshiped as gods. See examples of Elvis being treated as a god: Elvis.com, Religion in the News: Amazing Graceland.
The western mind has been open to worship of the dead, and the step from the worship of the dead to the worship of the living is small. Throughout the Western world, Eastern gurus such as Sri Sathya Sai Baba are worshiped as "Almighty God." The German nation in particular is very receptive to the worship of Sai Baba.
His message is “Love your neighbor, peace, and God is in us all.” This is the false teaching of peace and safety.
Entertainment
A further avenue for the spread of New Age philosophy is entertainment. Computer games are largely produced by organizations that further the aims of occultism. The computer game Hexen has an occult overtone and ridicules the book of Revelation. Its three heroes resemble the false trinity identified as Babylon in the book of Revelation.
Modern TV shows are rife with after-death experiences, second-chance theology, communication with angels, and angels that become men and have relations with women. The list goes on and on.
The recent rejuvenation of C. S. Lewis' Chronicles of Narnia is another example of occult principles being projected as harmless entertainment—children's entertainment no less. Learn more about the truth behind Narnia. The entertainment world truly believes the twin lies of Eden.
