A Mouth to Utter Proud Words
Revelation 13 tells us that the Beast will blaspheme God and slander His name. What blasphemy will the Beast speak? How will he slander God's name?
World Power
The Papacy has once again become a world power both politically and in religious circles. We can see the prophecy of Revelation 13:7-8 come to fruition: "power was given [the beast] over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him."
The Wound
One key characteristic of the first beast of Revelation 13 is that it receives a wound that appears deadly, but then heals.
