We Believe

Our basic beliefs are condensed into the following primary teachings.

Righteousness By Faith

We believe that Jesus Christ was fully God and fully man. He is our ONLY means of salvation, and it is only by His grace and His grace alone through faith in Him that we are saved. He alone is the believer's assurance of eternal life and we can do nothing to earn our salvation but through Christ, within us (His imparted and imputed righteousness) we are able to obey God. His grace gives us power to overcome.

Bible As God's Word

We believe in the veracity of the Bible as God’s holy unerring Word of God that has creative power. It is the Word of God from cover to cover and should be trusted before our feelings and senses. We believe that the Bible is to be interpreted literally using itself as its own expositor and that prophecy has a literal, historical fulfillment. We believe the Bible is the guidebook through which all may find salvation and restoration and recommend it to be read slowly, prayerfully, and frequently.

Creation

We believe in the literal interpretation of Genesis 1 & 2— that God created the heavens and the earth in 6 literal days and rested the 7th, and that the signs of His creative work exist in the natural world even today.

Coming Again

We believe that Jesus is coming again in the clouds of heaven and that at His coming the righteous dead will be raised and the righteous living will be translated in the twinkling of an eye and together we will meet Him in the air according to the scriptures (See 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17). We believe that in 1844 Jesus moved from the Holy Place in the sanctuary in Heaven to the Most Holy place to start His work of judgment and that as a result, we are living in the time of the investigative judgment.

Commandments

Because of our love for Jesus and thankfulness for what He has done for us, we choose to keep God’s commandments (See John 14:15). This includes the Fourth Commandment, which tells us that we must keep the Sabbath holy on the seventh day as a sign between Him and His people of His creative and redemptive work.

Commission

We believe that Seventh-day Adventists were raised up at a specific time as a special movement to prepare the world for Christ's soon coming just as John the Baptist was sent to precede Christ's first advent. Because of this, we believe that we are commissioned to preach the 3 Angels’ Messages of Revelation 14, announcing that the hour of His judgment has come, that we are to worship Him who made heaven and earth, that Babylon has fallen, and warning people of the mark of the beast so that they may not be deceived during the final events just before Christ's coming.

Spirit of Prophecy

We believe in God’s gift to the remnant, the Spirit of Prophecy, as manifested through the life and writings of Ellen G. White.
We believe that she was a prophet of God sent to the end-time church, that her counsel on Christian living and lifestyle serves as a guide in the confusion of these last days, and that her writings are suitable for exegesis.

Health

We believe in the principles of healthful living as taught in the Bible and the Spirit of Prophecy, and strive to adhere to a plant-based lifestyle and to follow the 8 laws of health to the best of our ability by God’s grace, believing that as we near the return of Jesus, our lifestyles should be as closely aligned as possible to what God ordained in the garden of Eden.

Country Living

We also believe that Christians should live where they can have the best opportunity to be connected to God - away from the influences of city life and connected to nature. We believe that the final crisis is about to break upon the world, and that God has called us to live in country places away from the areas where His judgments will fall, growing gardens and becoming self-sustainable.

We base our beliefs on the teachings of the Seventh-day Adventist Church as they adhere to the Bible and are set forth in the book Principles of Life.
